Facilities

The City College Campus is at the heart of Burslem’s historic town centre.

Comprising two beautiful Grade II listed buildings with state-of-the-art facilities and additional common rooms in ‘The Coffee Lounge’ on Swan Square, the campus has a real community spirit and is an exciting learning environment.

One of City College’s buildings is the former Burslem Town Hall, which has classrooms and workspaces on all floors. It also offers students an IT-based learning centre on the first floor and ‘Speaker’s Corner’ – a unique space to stimulate debate and encourage an interest in the democratic process.

The Burslem School of Art is another campus building for the college. Recently refurbished, it provides 10 teaching spaces, with four dedicated subject rooms including, a specialist computing lab, a Design and Technology workshop and a Science lab. Students helped to design the new common room, with relaxed study areas, vending machines and a café on site.

Our students have a real impact on the ethos and the drive of City College and our links to the local community give us a local flavour and unique community spirit.
